News Article Title : Phantasy Star Online I & II Coming to Xbox Date Added : 2003-02-02 01:12:03 Microsoft announced today that they have picked up Sega's Phantasy Star Online I & II for distribution in the U.S. The game will require an Xbox Live subscription, plus an additional monthly "hunter's fee" of $8.95 (the first two months are, however, free). The game is fully compatible with the Xbox communicator headset, and also boasts a "plethora" of exclusive online content such as seasonal quests, downloads and rare in-game items. Episode I contains all the content from the original Phantasy Star Online and Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2 (which between them pulled in over 400,000 players on Dreamcast). Episode II features all-new adventures on the planet of Ragol, with new areas to explore, new monsters to battle, and even more items to find and use. Interestingly, the game will also support Dolby 5.1 digital sound -- very cool. Phantasy Star Online I & II is scheduled to go on sale this March. |
